Given below are some of the methods which are used by different students to meet the needs of struggling students.

Changing Style of Instructions

With this method, teachers often change their style of teaching, or simply they use a different style of teaching for different students. Because sometimes students don’t’ learn with one method but learn with the other one which might be slow or have some extra materials to learn. Teachers often create plans which include extra practice, Step by step or pointwise directions or give some special home works to students.

Breaking into Chunks

Sometimes teachers use a method in which longer topics are divided into smaller parts which help the students to learn the ultimate thing. Teachers create bridges between what student already know and what they can’t on their own. This procedure is called scaffolding.

Initially, teachers present a high-quality working model in front of the students and after that ask a student to work and create the model on their own.

Use of Graphics

Using this method teachers provide different types of pictures or charts or graphics to the student to learn. In the case of younger students teacher provide shapes, or graphics or some other toys to teach students about different things. For example, teachers use some block to tell students about shapes or colors.

Sometimes teachers provide pictures for students and ask them to write stories after watching the pictures.

Mnemonic Phrases

Some special phrases are given to the students so they might use them to remember some information. Some of the Math’s teachers give a simple sentence to the student like. Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally, so that with the help of this student might remember the sequence of order of operations in Maths: Parentheses, Exponents, Multiply, Divide, Add and Subtract.

Sensory Ways

A very interesting and creative method. Using this method students are taught to use all the senses like hear, move, or feel to learn things. Sometimes students are provided too with different shapes of blocks and asked them to recognize the blocks by keeping their eyes close. Every student has a different capacity to learn teachers sometimes provide different material to teach different students.
